The Turkish F4 Phantom jet: Downed in Syrian airspace or over international water?
Category: Eye on the media
The Turkish F4 Phantom jet was downed withing the Syrian airspace, not over international water.
Now that Turkey called for a NATO meeting to discuss the jet incident, they are trying to establish that the jet was downed over international water, thereby justifying escalation. Does this have anything to do with the Syrian pilot who defected with his Mig jet to Jordan a day before? This and more discussed by Syrian Tribune’s editor in chief in this interview with video blogger and activist Syrian Girl.
